Terms of service
The agreement between you and Drawlite. Plain words on purpose.
1. What this is
Drawlite is software for measuring a job from a drawing and turning it into a priced quote you send to your own customer. You use it under these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you are saying you may bind it.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, and for the people you invite onto your account. Keep the password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it.
3. Your work is yours
Drawings, price books, quotes, photographs and customer details you put in stay yours. We do not sell them, we do not train anything on them, and we do not show them to your competitors. We store and process them only to run the service for you, to keep backups, and where the law requires it.
You can take a full copy out at any time from Settings, and you can close the account and have it deleted. See the privacy policy for what that means and how long it takes.
4. Quotes and contracts you send are yours
A quote sent through Drawlite is a document between you and your customer. We are not a party to it. The prices, the scope, the terms and the accuracy of every measurement are yours: the software multiplies what it is given, it does not visit the site. Check the numbers before you send them.
The same goes for any document you attach to a quote. We do not write contract wording, we do not review what you attach, and we do not check it against the law where you work. What a home improvement contract must contain, what notice of cancellation it has to carry, and what deposit you may lawfully ask for are set by your state and are your responsibility and your lawyer's. Any dispute about a quote, a contract, or the work itself is between you and your customer.
5. Electronic signatures
When your customer accepts a quote they are asked to consent to doing business electronically and to sign. We record the signature, the time, the address it came from and the exact version of the document that was signed, and we keep that record for as long as your account is open. Whether that constitutes a binding contract is a question of your own law and your own agreement, not of this service.
Documents you attach are signed together with the quote: their contents are covered by the same signature and listed, with a hash of each file, on the audit page of the signed PDF. That record shows what was signed and when. It does not make us a party to it.
6. Paying for it
Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time: the account keeps working to the end of the period you have paid for, after which sending stops and reading stays open. We do not pro-rate part-months. Prices can change, and we will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you.
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
7. Fair use
Do not use Drawlite to send bulk unsolicited email, to store anything unlawful, to break into anything, or to resell the service as your own. We may suspend an account doing any of those, and we will say why.
8. Uptime and support
We try hard to keep it running and we do not promise perfection. There is no uptime guarantee on the standard plans. Support is by email at support@drawlite.com.
9. If something goes wrong
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits or lost business. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending it
You can close your account at any time from Settings. We can end this agreement with 30 days notice, or immediately if you breach section 7. On closure your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to the address on the account at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
