Quoting software for sign shops
Give it the size of one piece and how many. Setup is charged once, printing per piece, and the minimum applies where it bites.
Measured in: Square feet for everything printed, linear feet for contour cuts, a count for grommets, and a minimum on most print rows.
Inches on the drawing, square feet in the book
Every sign arrives as a size in inches and every rate is per square foot, which is one division that goes wrong often enough to be worth taking off a person at the end of a Friday. A 48 by 24 panel is eight square feet, and a shop that quotes it as twelve has given away a third of the job.
Setup is once, printing is per piece
Press setup, color match and nesting cost the same for one banner or six off the same file. That is why the second piece is cheaper than the first, why quoting a run of four as four singles loses to the shop that does not, and why setup is a flat line rather than a percentage.
The minimum, and where it stops mattering
Most print rows in this book carry one, and a small panel measures out below it, so the minimum is the price. Somewhere above two or three square feet the measurement takes over. Knowing which side of that line a job sits on is the difference between a quick yes and an hour of arithmetic.
The price book this trade starts with
Every row below is seeded into a new signage and large format account on the day it is created, with these rates. They are realistic US mid-market numbers for 2026 and they are the first thing you would change -- but nobody starts from a blank page, and nothing on this site is a figure invented for a landing page.

And the systems built out of it
A system is what the shop sells; the rows above are what it is made of. Put one on a shape and every line below lands on the quote at once, each on its own measurement.
