Sign and banner cost calculator

Give it the size of one piece and how many. Setup is charged once, printing per piece, and the minimum is applied where it bites.

Nothing is sent anywhere: the arithmetic runs in this page. The prefilled rates are the ones a new Drawlite account in this trade starts with, and the first thing you would do in the app is replace them with yours.

Inches on the drawing, square feet in the book

Every sign comes in as a size in inches and every rate in the book is per square foot, which is one division that goes wrong often enough to be worth automating. A 48 by 24 panel is eight square feet, not 1,152 of anything, and a shop that quotes it as twelve has given away a third of the job.

Setup is once, printing is per piece

Press setup, color match and nesting cost the same for one banner or six off the same file -- 45 on the seeded book. That is why the second piece is always cheaper than the first and why quoting a run of four as four singles loses to the shop that does not. The calculator charges setup once, the way the quote does.

The minimum, and where it stops mattering

A small coroplast sign measures out below the 35 minimum on that row, so the minimum is the price. Somewhere above two or three square feet the measurement takes over, and from there the rate is the whole story. Knowing which side of that line a job sits on is the difference between a quick yes and an hour of arithmetic.
